Using a Train from Prague
This is a recommended way of transportation. The trains leave from the Prague Main Railway Station (Praha Hlavni Nadrazi) often and the trip takes less than 2 hours. Departure times can be found here. The web application is in Czech but it is pretty clearly understandable. Enter "Praha" for the departure site (first line), "Plzen" for the destination (second line), and choose an approximate departure time. The results will contain both bus and train connections, these can be distinguished clearly by small black icons. When coming through the Prague Airport, use the Airport Express shuttle service which takes you directly to the Prague Main Railway Station. When coming from other parts of the city, the Main Railway Station is a stop of the red line "C" of Prague subway. Train tickets can be purchased in the lobby of the railway station, or directly in the train (higher fees apply). The Angelo hotel in Pilsen is within walking distance from the Pilsen Main Railway Station (see the map in the Accommodation section of this web site).
Currency Exchange
Make sure to buy some Czech Crowns (CZK) at the airport or at the Prague Main Railway Station. Do not buy EUR since this is not an official currency in the Czech Republic. The train trip from Prague to Pilsen should cost you around 150 CZK. Anticipating some local expenses, you should be fine with exchanging 100 - 150 USD or equivalent in EUR. If you'll need more CZK, there will be an opportunity to buy them in Pilsen.
Emergency Phone
If you encounter any difficulties while traveling to ESCO, use the local phone number +420 606 178 525. Have a safe trip and see you in Pilsen!
